Yes, you aren't required to complete one section before moving to the next. However, I strongly recommend that you follow the sequence set out in the course because it has been designed in a logical order to help you learn faster.

You simply need internet access and a guitar. The course is not downloadable so you will need an internet connection good enough for streaming. All course materials are included as a downloadable PDF so you can work on these away from the computer if you choose.

A little. You can start with no experience of fingerpicking but you'll need the very basics of guitar - just a few simple chords.

It depends on how you like to learn and what your general level of guitar experience is. If you've never played guitar before and you want to learn how to play acoustic with a specialism in fingerstyle by following a guided step-by-step pathway then the Six String Fingerpicking Method may be more suitable for you. If you are happy to work on your general guitar playing separately (e.g. through other courses - like Total Guitar Mastery - or with an in-person instructor) but just want to learn the techniques of fingerstyle, then this course will have you covered.

No, you cannot download the courses (i.e. video lessons) but you can download a PDF of the course materials so you can work on that away from the computer.

The course is designed for a steel strung acoustic guitar but everything contained in the course could be learnt on a nylon strung classical guitar if this is all you have available. However, the course will not teach you how to play classical guitar. The same applies to an electric guitar.

The more you can practise, the better. However, everyone has other demands on their time so it's best to be realistic with how much practice you can do. As an absolute minimum, we would recommend at least four 30-minute practice sessions in a week. It's always better to have this spread out across the week rather than in one two-hour block on the weekend to maximise your progress.
